Guelph General Hospital’s Emergency Expansion
Artellix is pleased to announce its collaboration with Guelph General Hospital to support significant enhancements to its emergency services. This includes the construction of a new triage, registration, and waiting area, alongside a new ambulance garage. These developments are crucial steps towards reducing offload wait times within the Emergency Department, ultimately improving the efficiency of care delivery. Guelph General Hospital is also undertaking the relocation of its Emergency Mental Health and Addictions Services to a newly renovated space within the main hospital building. This strategic move aims to expand these vital services and foster better connectivity for patients requiring mental health and addiction support.
Recognizing the vital role of clear and intuitive navigation, especially within a busy healthcare environment, Artellix is mandated to review and identify gaps in the existing standards, then to develop or to refine the exterior and interior signage products. The designs will align seamlessly with the hospital's current standards, best practices in wayfinding, and be in compliance with current accessibility standards. It is Artellix’s goal to ensure that the signage effectively guides patients, visitors, and staff, contributing to a more stress-free and accessible experience throughout the Guelph General Hospital campus.
